Reading your map
Columns, lines, letters and marks, and which of them move each other.
Letters are grades: what your code does. Marks are checks: what’s been proved. Neither one moves the other.
In reading order
- A column
- One kind of thing in your app, under the folder it lives in. Pages on the left, what they reach to the right.
- A box
- One real thing, under the name your code gave it.
- A line
- One box calling another, drawn only where the code makes that call.
- A letter
- The grade on that box, from reading the code.
- An edge or a line’s style
- What’s been proved about it. Nine of these.
The one that catches everybody
What people expectThe line went solid, so the letter should go up.
What happensIt won’t. The line going solid means a test ran and passed. The letter comes from reading the code, and the code didn’t change.
