The map
Columns, read left to right, holding real things from your code.
Everything on the map came out of your code. Nothing on it is an example, and the names are the names your code gave them.
The columns
- Pages
- The pages and screens a person opens.
- Routes
- The endpoints those pages call.
- Tables
- The tables your endpoints read and write.
- Outside services
- Outside companies your app uses — Stripe, email, file storage.
Each column is headed by the folder its things share, with our word under it. A kind your app doesn’t have gets no column at all; the foot of the map says what was looked for and not found. That’s a fact about your app, not a gap in the scan.
Lines
A line is one thing calling another: a page calling a route, a route reading a table. We draw a line only where the code actually makes that call.
Tables
What people expectI pressed + Test on a table and nothing was offered.
What happensA table isn’t reached on its own — you call the endpoint that reads it. So a table is tested through its route, and the offer lives on the line rather than on the box.
