When nothing turns green
The pull request merged and the line is still dashed. What to look at, in order.
A line goes solid when the test has run on your main branch and passed, and we’ve read the result. Each of those three can be the one that hasn’t happened yet.
In order
- 1Has it run at all?If your repository has no CI, nothing ever runs the test, so nothing can ever report. The line stays named by a test, which is true and is as far as it goes.
- 2Did it run on main? Some repositories only run tests on pull requests. The run we read is the one on your main branch, after the merge.
- 3Did it pass?A failing check is a result, not a fault in the scan. The line says failing and the panel says which case and what it printed.
- 4Have we looked since?Press Re-check. We only read your repository when you ask us to.
If it’s none of those
The panel on that line lists what it found and what it didn’t, in words. That sheet is the place to look next, because it’s reporting on your repository rather than guessing at it.
